Elasticsearch 1.0 - Whats new and how are people using it?

I'd like our first meetup to be around all the new goodness in Elasticsearch 1.0 from Aggregations to Backup and Restore. I'd also like to hear from anyone in the community that is using it and would like to talk about it with the rest of the group! I have a lot of use cases I can talk about but hearing from one of us would be better.

We need a place to meet, any volunteers with some space?

Also, do you prefer downtown Portland, West side or East side?
