What's going on around meetup town and other things!

Hey Everyone!

I really wanted to send out an email.  In the last 5-6 months of planning meet up events, I have not had a single meet and greet Monday attract the number of people that this one has had RSVP.  We're at 69 members right now and that's sure to be at around 80 by the end of the night.  As far as I know, there is NO group in town that can boast a weekly meeting that gets as many members out to it on a weekly basis.  I wanted to send a big THANK YOU to everyone who is attending.  Because there is going to be such a big turn out tonight, I'll going to buy some name tags and other things for everyone, which means I might put up a donation jar to cover expenses.  If you have a buck or two, put it in, if not, don't worry.

We've also scheduled our Trivia and Karaoke night for this Wed and going forward.  If you haven't had a chance to look at it, might I suggest you do so now.  Our trivia nights have been growing and they are always a good time.  I really look forward to making our Wed night as big as our Monday's.

We've scheduled our next meet and greet Monday as well.  The next will be at the Fox and Hound in Raleigh and they actually need a headcount, to make sure we have enough space.  Try to RSVP to that by Friday if at all possible.

Finally, I wanted to push the premiere pre-Halloween party in the area.  For those of you who haven't seen it posted yet, go check it out.  Essentially I am going to be waxing my chest for charity.  If you haven't seen the 40 year old virgin, watch the waxing scene and essentially that's what we'll have.

The event is going to be FREE to attend and there should be from free snacks out for all of us to munch on.  No free drinks this time, but the drinks are so cheap, they might as well be free.

We will be having a raffle where you can win some awesome prizes.  Three of our groups members have donated already.

A big thanks to Sarah Coppola who is donating some jewelry (necklace/earings).   Check out her website at www.indigoartsclay.com  Sarah makes some of the best clay and glass based Jewelry in the area and these pieces will make awesome accessories for almost any outfit OR they'll make a great Christmas present.

Erin Dunphy is giving out some free passes to speed dating, so if you're single this is THE prize to win.  Erin's speed dating events are a whole lot of fun and they're a great way to meet that special someone.  You can check out her website at www.mymasterdater.com

Finally, Katelyn McGinn has donated a free haircut with her at Atomic Salon.  She's one of the area's premiere hair stylists and a Rusk Color expert.  Guys, if you've never had a haircut at a francy salon, you'll never want to go back to great clips again after a cut from Katelyn and ladies, if you already have a stylist, you might want to prepare to break up with them.  Check out www.atomicsalon.com and find Katelyn's profile!

If anyone else would like to donate something please email me and let me know!
