There are few things better in life than enjoying a book and having the chance to discuss it with other book lovers. It’s a great opportunity to get a different perspective and to learn.

The Reader has grown a lot in the past four years, we now have over 400 members and now there are three different types of book club to choose from – you can attend one or attend them all!

1/ The Reader – This is the classic book club where we read one novel per month in English and then meet to discuss it.

2/ English Language Book Club – This is a Short Story Book Club for English Practice – We started a couple months ago and thus far it’s been great! The aim is to improve our English by reading a short story and discussing it. It’s a small group lead by an English teacher and it meets every two weeks (you can come each time or only as often as suits you). It’s a lot of fun and I encourage you to join us!

3/ Spanish Language Book Club – This group is for people who want to read and discuss books in Spanish. It meets once a month and is lead by Ignasi. The next book has not been chosen yet. I highly recommend this group for those of you who prefer to read in Spanish or if you’d like to improve your Spanish.

You’ll find all the reading groups on the same The Reader group page: http://www.meetup.com/The-Reader/

We’ve recently updated our Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/BCNReader and invite you to join for updates and news. You are very welcome to post interesting articles, links to events, thoughts on the book you’re currently reading… or anything else you think fellow book lovers would like to hear about.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
