Announcing a new Meetup for The Rochester Digital Photography Meetup Group!

What: Stony Brook State Park Photo and Picnic Adventure

When: August 15,[masked]:30 AM

Where: (A location has not been chosen yet.)

Let's all enjoy a fun and active day at Stony Brook State Park!

Let?s get together and do a great day of photography. I?ve planed a day at Stony brook State Park for a day of picnicking, photography and fun. Families are invited to come along for the day. There will be more information about the event. This event will be a joint adventure with the Photoshop group along with ?The Rochester Health and Fitness Meetup Group? run by my great friend Elaine Marie.

Please sign up under only one group

Stony Brook State Park's terrain comprises hilly woodlands, a deep gorge with rugged cliffs overlooking three waterfalls and fascinating rock formations. 125 tent and trailer campsites are scattered in the woodlands above the gorge in the upper or south end of the park.

Visitors can hike rim, gorge or nature trails, play tennis on park courts, picnic or swim in the park's stream-fed pool.

Please bring your lunch and a couple beverages. We will put them in a cooler or please bring a small cooler, if you have one.

We will take a couple hikes in this park and have a picnic lunch together. For those who also love photography, we can take a photographic 'walk' at some point, during the day. For those who want to swim, bring your suit and a towel and sunblock.

The cost will be to split money for gas and the cost of the Admissions to get in, which is around $8 per vehicle.

We will depart from Marketplace Mall at 9:30 am and depart from the park around 5 pm, unless the majority want to leave a little sooner or a little later. I am flexible on that.
