Meet other local advocates of Alimony Reform. Discuss alimony reform in the family law/judicial system to eliminate lifetime alimony. I have just started a branch chapter in SW Florida of the Alliance For Freedom From Alimony, Inc. www.alimonyreform.org . We must become active in the community, challenge the laws, and become voices in the community to bring awareness to the media, public, and change to the broken down, antiquated judicial system. In the coming year we will be contacting the Florida state legislator to gain support of a bill to change the existing Alimony laws and also to have judges enforce SB 0152 that was sponsored by Senator Gary Siplin and passed in 2005. The bill pertained to cohabitation and the reduction/elimination of permanant/lifetime alimony. Since that time, judges across the state of Florida have thumbed their noses at the bill, turning their courtroom into a joke. Please join our cause freeing people in the State of Florida from "Involuntary Servatude", which has been outlawed for over 100 years by the 13th amendment of the US constitution.
