SacJS is excited to bring you our fifth peachy keen meetup of 2016 at The Urban Hive!

We're going to have some fun heading in to the summer by hosting a series of Lightning Talks!

A lightning talk is a short presentation lasting only a few minutes. Being of such short length, it is a great way for new speakers to try their hand at presenting to our group. For more experienced speakers, it is a way to work on making a more concise presentation.

We are accepting talk topics on anything! If you can talk about it for five minutes, that likely means that you are passionate about it. We want to hear about your passions! You can talk about anything from Javascript, web technology, Java 6, bicycle repair, to flower arranging!

So if you've got a talk that's auto-matic, system-matic, or hydro-matic, then its a lightning talk and we want to hear from you!

SacJS expects all speakers and attendees to follow our Code of Conduct (http://sacjs.com/code-of-conduct/).

Be sure to hang out afterwards for an open-ended informal social time, bevera.js!

Food will be provided by our sponsor TEKSystems (http://www.teksystems.com/) (thanks Chelsea!) and liquid refreshments will be provided by the Rocket Department (http://rocketdepartment.com/) (thanks Emma!) and Full Stack Labs (http://www.fullstacklabs.co/) (thanks Mike!)

Free Street parking is widely available in the surrounding area.

Please DO NOT park in the private gravel lot adjacent to The Urban Hive or you might get towed!

We want to see you speak! Submit your talk proposal by following the directions at http://sacjs.com/speaking/

If you would also like to sponsor or speak at one of our events, please contact us on GitHub (http://github.com/sacjs/sacjs.github.io), Twitter (https://twitter.com/sac_js), #sacjs on the #SacTech Slack Team (https://sac-tech.herokuapp.com/), or Meetup.com (https://www.meetup.com/The-Sacramento-Javascript-Meetup/members/13188390/).
