Sumeet Bansal is Fusion-io’s Principal Solutions Architect. Fusion-io is a producer of enterprise-class SSDs (Solid State Drives, as opposed to HDDs – Hard Disk Drives). Their silicon-based storage architecture known as ioMemory applies flash memory to large-scale enterprise storage products like Storage Area Networks.

Sumeet Bansal, Principal Solutions Architect
As principal solutions architect for Fusion-io, Sumeet Bansal is responsible for designing architectural solutions that use Fusion-io product lines as core technology to deliver unprecedented levels of scalability, performance and simplicity. Sumeet brings more than 11 years IT and database-infrastructure experience to the position.

Prior to joining Fusion-io, Sumeet served as vice-president of information technology at Wine.com, the Internet retailer. There, he spearheaded implementation of a new storage technology that allows the company’s databases to respond up to 10 times faster. His migration strategy for company hardware and hosting platforms saved Wine.com hundreds of thousands of dollars. Sumeet also oversaw the development of customized financial software to maintain the company’s high transaction volume and supervised the company’s disaster recovery strategy.

Sumeet started his career in the US by teaching Oracle database classes.
