Semantic Apps in the Cloud - Sanjiva Nath (zAgile.com)
Rapid enterprise adoption of cloud-based applications is also compounding the problem of application and information isolation. Integrating this information across cloud and on-premise apps is a challenge best suited for semantic technologies. We will discuss zAgile's Wikidsmart platform that provides easy integration of cloud applications - providing a unified view of information to the enterprise for sharing and collaboration. A recent use case of this integration and publishing across hosted apps is the OpenStack Activity Dashboard and Metrics, provided by the OpenStack foundation to its member organizations.
Hybrid Semantics in Media and Scientific Publishing - Borislav Popov (Ontotext.com)
Borislav will share stories of mass media and scientific publishers taking the leap from pre-FTS-indexing times to context-supported authoring, data-rich editorial process and dynamic semantic publishing. We will tell about competitors joining forces to overtake competitors through hybrid semantics and show how it’s done and what it takes.
Over the years, a repetitive solution pattern for semantic publishing got mastered and applied over and over again. We will tell you how it works and how to benefit from it – from the domain aware schema modelling, through sophisticated text analytics, to readers’ profiles aware publishing.
He will spice up the meet up with additional insight talks and is open for discussions.
