Hidden In the Hills Art Studios in Afternoon + Dinner at Harold's

I am making a time change for this event! This will be an afternoon event!

With an option for an early dinner.

Our jumping off place will be the parking lot at the NW corner of Thunderbird and Scottsdale Rd in front of "Smart and Final". I think this is a good central location. Meet at 1 PM. We will wait 15 minutes for stragglers. Plenty of parking is available...

At 4:30 we are going to meet at Harold's Corral for dinner. I have already reserved a table for 15 - so let me know if you will be going to the dinner! There are lots of great places up in Cave Creek, but Harold's is the only one I know of that has large tables for a group. http://haroldscorral.com

Presented by the Sonoran Arts League. Car pool from north Scottsdale and end in Cave Creek for dinner at Harold's Corral. Join us for this FREE tour of 49 artist studios and 164 participating artists in the beautiful Sonoran Desert of Cave Creek, Carefree and north Scottsdale.

This is my favorite art show, and I try to attend every year. You will find very high quality fine art and crafts. Artists are from all over the southwest. Our local artists open up their homes, and show off their studios, which is fascinating to me! You can see the tools and materials used by the artists, and ask questions! At each art studio, there may be cookies, water, and little munchies.

I strongly suggest that we car-pool, as there is a lot of driving involved, and some roads might be hard dirt. We will all chip in for gas to our drivers. I hope if you have an SUV or van, you will  volunteer your vehicle. Each vehicle will be your "group", as it will be impossible for us to caravan. Each small group will make decisions as to which studios they want to visit. See this web page for maps and info. www.sonoranartsleague.org/hidden.php

You can download a tour map ahead of time from the web site (if you like to plan ahead). Each studio has the free maps.

Each studio has several art mediums presented. It can be tiring going to every studio, so I suggest you look at the map, and pick your favorites. This is a great time to do your holiday shopping! Support your local artists!

We saw beautiful homes & art work. This was a small group, and new friendships were made. Everyone had fun. Gorgeous scenery up north, see photos!

If you can't meet us at the carpool location, you can get a map at this studio, which is in Scottsdale: Mangelsdorf Studio, 26650 N 70th Place. Take Scottsdale Rd north, turn W onto Jomax Rd, turn N onto 70th Pl. The studio # is[masked]-9646.

Shortly before this event, I will be emailing everyone to get the headcount for dinner reservations. I have reserved a table for 15. You cannot be a no-show for the dinner.

There is no limit for the art tour itself, but let me know if you are going to be at the dinner. I have reserved a table for 15. To send me an email directly, click on my name, and send an email from the PROFILE PAGE. If an email is sent directly, you can write your phone number and it won't be plastered all over the web site!
