Feb Social Web Meetup

The Social Web Meetup will have presenters from the group discuss various topics on Web 2.0 and Social Media.


Presenters:
1.) Walter Schwabe - "Brand You" - a review of personal branding examples from the Edmonton Twitter community.
2.) Steve Davidson - 6 Pixels of Separation.
3.) Tait Lawton - The social web in China.
4.) Genoa Adnams - How social media can change perception

    Any interest in anything "social web" in China? If so, I could probably cook up 15 minutes of material for the crowd.

    This was an outstanding opportunity for me to tell people my thoughts on social media related to a specific topic and I appreciate the chance to imprint some of myself on others and hopefully the impression is a positive one. I also enjoyed learning more about China and its burgeoning social media market. Genoa an Walter tied alot of it together presenting ideas on how social media is being adopted by those you would not normally see getting into it. They obviously see the value for themselves and to present their ideas. Then the ideas that some people do not bring value with their social media input and by associating with them we are devaluing our own comments. Thanks Walter!
