Announcing a new Meetup for The Ann Arbor Japanese Language Meetup Group!

What: UMP2 - The 2nd Umeshu Making Party

When: Sunday, June 6,[masked]:00 PM

Price: $30~$40.00 per person

Where:
Tom's Residence
TBA
Canton, MI 48187

Many members has requested this event, so here it goes!

June 6th is tentative because green plum (AO-UME) may not be ready by then. If that's the case, it will postpone one week, to the 13th. If ume won't be available still? Hmmm, I'm not sure. Ume will be arrived from California and Japanese food market will let me know when it arrives.

I will start this event at 2 pm and you can leave 2 hours later with your own Umeshu bottle (or bottles?)

If you are interested in making Umeshu, please sign in, knowing the day may be changed later. Total cost of this event will be between $30 - $40 (Shoochuu - a bottle of white liqueur, a bag of rock sugar and a pound of green plums. If you want to get the liqueur by yourself, please let me know. I'll get "Jun" made by TAKARA). Please bring your own glass jar. You can get a bottle of Umeshu at the store but I'm sure that Umeshu made by yourself will be much more tastier than them.

If you have any questions, please let me know. Since I'm not sure how much I will get green plum, I take 12 people first. Depend on the volume, I open up more space for folks on the waiting list.

Tom san will be the host again. His house is near Beck rd. exit on M-14. The address is TBA to people who will attend.
