I have very little formal background in philosophy, except to the extent that I studied it as part of my French literary studies, so questions having to do with aesthetics, what makes something ( a work of art) beautiful, how does one define the "beautiful", what creates sublimity, etc. I have also read selected works by philospophers on my own, particularly Plato, Spinoza, Nietzche, Heidegger, Lao Tzu, Chuang Tzu and Indian philosophy.
I'm getting more and more interested in philosophy as a kind of abstract food for my poetic work.
Hi, I'm a writer/translator/poet. I have grown up partly in Paris (France) and partly in Toronto. I have a B.A. in French Literature and I'm currently doing an M.A. in Translation Theory.
