Come, all ye who worry about the future, and be inspired by what our high school students have invented! An award-winning ozone detection system that already has a $11K grant for manufacturing? YES! And a cell phone recycling program to aid African health workers, an NCSSM rain garden, a dorm recycling program that actually works, energy and cost savings on school transportation, charging your batteries with a cheap DIY solar device . . . Guaranteed to knock your natural fiber socks off! Free to the public, but we usually pass the hat.
Come early and check out Recyclique for upcycled and refurbished goods, sustainability products, books/CDs/art, vintage, local crafts, organic supplies. Open: 12 noon - 6 pm Fridays & 10 am - 5 pm Saturdays
Next Fri. 5/17 at 6 pm: A panel on personal experiences with Voluntary Simplicity
A non-profit project of CommunEcos
