Pickards Meadow Eco-Village Rollout on the evening of 1/29

The steering committee for the formation of the Pickards Meadow Eco-Village has made substantial progress, and wishes to share its vision, and extend an opportunity for others to join this community.

We will gather at the current Toben Home (on Pickards Mountain) at 5:15 pm on 1/29/11. If it is clear we will observe the sunset at 5:39. Then we will hold a pot luck dinner. Please bring a contribution and a small sign indicating content.

Following dinner, we will watch Neal Rogin's 15 minute video, "The Awakening Universe" (7 minutes of this video is in the Universe Story video used for the Awakening the Dreamer Symposium).

Tim Toben will then present a brief update on the prospect of forming a Thomas Berry Center at Pickards Mountain.

The plans for the Pickards Meadow Eco-Village will then be presented. This community is to be established adjacent to the new location of the Pickards Mountain Eco-Institute (next to the pond south of Pickards Mountain). It is anticipated that approximately ten home sites will be available - approximately five are not yet spoken for. More information is available on the
Pickards Meadow Eco-Village Web Site (https://sites.google.com/site/pickardmountain/intentional-community), including links to minutes for three of the four meetings that have been held, and a draft of the community's covenants.
