Getting Found Online - Effective Business Marketing in Today's World

When Google started placing more emphasis on Local Search in 2010, RevLocal was born, using the personal skills and experience they had developed building their dial-up business and applying that to other businesses. RevLocal currently serves as the internet marketing partner for about 3000 businesses across North America. RevLocal's Core 4 strategies include Local Search, Pay-Per-Click Ads, Social Media and Web Content (blogs, e-newsletters, etc.). Earl will be sharing some of the basic principles of their core 4 strategies and how having an online presence is more than just a good looking website.

About Earl

Earl moved to Vancouver from Toronto in October of 2003 and met his wife, Charlotte, through a summer work program for university students. They spent 10+ years with that company and each have over 10,000 hours of door-to-door sales experience. They feel blessed that they had the opportunity to take 15 months off between careers and in 2012 spent 8 of those months traveling to 24 countries across Asia, Africa and Europe. They are also excited to be able to spend this summer in Vancouver for the first time as their previous career had them relocate to Alberta or Ontario every summer.

Earl partnered with RevLocal in the Fall of 2012 after getting a chance to see what RevLocal was doing for businesses across North America. RevLocal's parent company started in 1994, making them older than Google! They began as a Bulletin Board Service and converted to a dial-up internet provider in 1996 when the internet became more main stream. Being a small business competing with the large marketing budgets of AOL and NetZero, they focused their time and energy on learning how to be effective at marketing their business online. At their peak they had over 60,000 dial-up customers across North America and still have over 20,000 paying dial-up customers to this day.

It will be interactive but one of the tech team will feed you the questions from the audience ....Anyway it only take a few mins to understand the process.
