The Visalia Meetup Group 4.50 4.5061

Well I noticed that Visalia did not have a social, hiking, dining, wine and beer, arts, live music group, so I decided to create a group will offer a plethora of activities. My target audience are people who are currently in a Fresno or Bakersfield meetup groups who actually live in Visalia (or smaller communities near Visalia), who just want to get out of the house, but do not want to drive all the way to Fresno or Bakersfield to "meetup". I do not have an itinerary yet, I just wanted to put out some feelers and see who is interested. Some of the activities I was thinking of doing are seeing live bands, going on some local day hikes, attend local theater arts events, movies, beer and wine tastings, and dining. If you belong to the Bored in Fresno group, The Madera/Frenso Hiking Group, or the Fresno Beer and Wine Group but live in Visalia and would like to do similar type of high jinks but here in Visalia, shoot me a email and maybe we can start social group. Everyone is welcome to join this group, however please keep in mind that Visalia has several Political, Religious, Occult, Dog Owners, and Mommy and Me groups which are great, but I would like this to group to be more of a social group. If you have any questions, feel free to shoot me a email.

“Melissa, RE your comment, "How is it at the Cellar Door on Monday night?" My take: 99.7 does a great job of making the event fun, even for those that aren't into football. Every week someone in our group has won a prize. The "wagers" are silly (Will the next commercial be about beer? Who will get the next penalty? etc.). The drink and food specials are pretty good. And, our group has good conversations. I've had fun every time I've gone. But, check it out for yourself - no cover.”

“Hello Deb, Welcome to our group. I'm the Assistant Organizer. I hope that we have some events that you find enticing enough to join. However, we very much welcome ideas for meetups - those ideas can be posted in the "ideas" section of the calendar. Please ask if you have any questions. I hope to see you at some of our future meetups. James”
