Rancho Sierra Vista / Satwiwa, a Gentler Hike

This week we'll hike through the Rancho Sierra Vista / Satwiwa area in Newbury Park, taking in the beauty of the wilderness as we go. We'll hike along a number of trails that meander through this rolling open space. There won't be any major hills. The route will be 5.3 miles long with mostly gentle ups and downs. The total amount of climbing should be only a few hundred feet.

There will be an option at the end to extend the hike if you like.

Afterwards, we'll meet for lunch at a nearby restaurant. This is optional; you can come out just for the hike and skip the lunch if you prefer.

Directions: Pay close attention to the meeting area, it's probably not one that you're used before for this area! We'll meet at the parking area at the east end of the Los Robles Trail West on Potrero road, about a half mile east of Wendy Drive. From the 101 Freeway in Thousand Oaks, exit at Wendy Drive and turn south (towards the ocean). Drive 3 miles to Potrero Road and turn left. The parking is 0.5 miles up Potrero, on the left.
