Details

Welcome Trailblazers....Time to re explore the Arroyo canyon with a few ....hills you never new about! This area is an amazing little canyon chaparral that not many visit because they don't know it's there, and that's what I'm here for...show off the good stuff in our local mountains!

Just a quick afternoon strole through the Conejo Valley via Conejo Open Space that cruises through the Arroyo barranca, Lynn ranch and Lynnmere communities. This will be a moderately strenuous 7+/- mile loop with about 1500-1800 ft. of elevation gain. Views of the 1,000 Oaks Area, including Wildwood ,Mount Clef Ridge, Newbury Park are all quite nice , and 7+ miles of moderately strenuous hiking will get you to just the right plateau for a Hump Day Hike. If there's enough daylight and enough of the group that wants more elevation, I can do that towards the end of the hike, so save some energy because the last hill is the best hill!

Essentials:

Well , let's see.... Pants/shorts & shirt of athletic wicking material is a good idea, cause 100% cotton is comfortable at the mall, not the hiking trail ! bring any first aid items or medications you can think of, and check the weather for rain posibilities which may require a hooded rain jacket. Please bring a head lamp or flashlight in case we run late. bring plenty of water( 1 liter/ per 3mile). Most of my hikes will be 3-8 miles(1-3 liters).
