Las Virgenes Canyon and Cheeseboro Ridge - a Gentler Hike

This week we'll head over to the east end of the Conejo Valley for our hike. We'll start at the Las Virgenes Canyon trailhead at the north end of Las Virgenes Canyon. We'll start with a steady climb up Las Virgenes Canyon before climbing over to Cheeseboro Ridge. The climb will be a bit steep, but we'll be on a good fireroad. We head south on the Cheeseboro Ridge Edison Rd before completing the clockwise loop back down to the start. Along the way we'll see some great vistas into Las Virgenes Canyon, Ahmanson Ranch and Cheeseboro Canyon. And we'll hike on some trails that those other hiking groups don't know about!

Statistics: 5.7 miles with about 950' of climbing, taking about 2.5 hours.

Directions: From the 101 in Agoura, turn north on Las Virgenes Canyon Road. Drive about 1.5 miles to the end and park at the side of the road. If you are coming up from PCH, drive up Malibu Canyon to the end (Malibu Cyn changes its name to Las Virgenes Rd). The trailhead is marked clearly.
