Mad Ken's Humpday hike/ Boney Apetite

Welcome Trailblazers. Time to explore the short version of the Boney range with a heart pounding journey to a beautiful 360 degree viewpoint!

We wont be cresting Boney , but we'll have a good time hiking through the area and get a great workout. This hike will be a fast paced moderately strenuous 7-8 mile trek with an elevation gain of-1600 -2100+/- ft. through the Conejo historic Danielson ranch area. We will take the fossil trial this time up to our Boney lookout, which will be al little tougher than our normal route!. This time of year we should get back to our cars before dark, but please pack one just in case. We will get some killer views of the 1000 Oaks and Newbury Park areas as well as Point Magu and even the Channel Islands and Ocean on a clear day. I always enjoy this hike because to me, its like a National Forest in our own backyard. And the Appetite part is open for discussion, if the group or part of the group wants to grab a bite and beverage afterwards , I'm sure Thom and Peter will be willing to make it happen. Looking forward to the MeetUp!

Essentials :

This time of year you dont need much, but make sure you bring a comfortable amount of H2O(1-2liters for most of my hikes). Dress yourself with So Cal Hiking attire, and be willing to get a good workout!. Bring your cellphone, a headlamp, any medications you may need, and a rainjacket if the weather looks iffy.
