Ken's Hump Day Hike: Triunfo Canyon/ White Horse Canyon Loop

This Hike will be a moderately strenuous 5 1/2 mile loop with an elevation gain/ loss of 1100 feet. We will switchback up Triumfo trail to the Los Robles trail intersect, then loop around counter-clockwise by way of the White Horse canyon trail, across the ridge, and back down into Triumfo trail. We will enjoy vews of Ladyface Mountain, Lake Sherwood, Westlake lake, as well as all nieghboring cities. At some point, atop White Horse trail, we will stop to enjoy a snack, and re-group before descending back to the park.

Essentials:

Please wear – brush-resistant pants/shorts, one or more wicking shirts appropriate to the temperature, comfortable hiking shoes or light boots, your favorite undergarments and accessories, and a light backpack.

Please bring – at least two liters of water, snacks, an extra layer of clothing, a charged cell phone, identification, a headlamp, a small first-aid kit, bug repellant and sunscreen, a waterproof shell if rain is forecast, and any medications or anything else you might need on the trail.
