I would like to propose some books which I have found fascinating and would create an interesting discussion while we share our opinions about them; The Next 100 Years written by George Friedman, CEO of the world's leading private intelligence and forecasting company...talks about geopolitical events that may occur within the next 100 years; The Selfish Gene by Richad Dawkins - is evil already embedded in your genetic makeup or does it include, environmental and other factors, or does evil even exist; Led by Faith; inspiring book about a woman who lived through the genocide in Rwanda where all her family but one brother were murdered- she eventually found it to her advantage to move on and forgive- to forgive others for her own sake as to not allow others injustices take her joy away...On our initial meeting I think it will be best to just discuss what we have read and then as a group agree on the next book we will all read and engage into a new adventure!!!Hope all of you can attend; Best Regards, elaine
Meet kindred book lovers in a local Meetup Book Club! We read and discuss quality, mostly contemporary, nonfiction books of all genres. There is no limit to age or background. Anyone with a sincere interest in reading stimulating books and participating in our informal, animated, and sometimes controversial discussions is welcome. Although our time and venue have varied over the years, our mission has remained the same, and our group has continued to evolve. We really look forward to meeting you!
