Washington Wine Panel

Ah, Washington wines…definitely the sleeper next to California! Washington seems to combine the best of both Old World and New World to me. The wines are reminiscent of the wines of Bordeaux, but with the richer rounder flavors of the New World. A delicious mix!

The wines of Washington tend towards bright fruit and crisp acidity, although rich, riper, more fruit forward wines with elegant oak and tannic profiles have become more popular in recent years..

We will taste a selection of six wines from Washington, with a focus on the red blends that they do so well.

A selection of artisan cheeses, fresh bread and crackers will be served during the tasting. We will open with a sparkling wine reception from 7pm to 7:30pm while we wait for everyone to show up!

This is a limited attendance event. Only your payment holds your reservation. All unpaid RSVPs will be released on Wednesday to allow the waitlist to move up.

I will accept two volunteer assistants for this event. Arrive by 6pm and stay to help cleanup. Assists with setting up the event, pouring the wines and cleaning up afterwards.
