CHENREZIG BUDDHA OF COMPASSION with Domo Geshe Rinpoche

Have you ever wished you could relieve the suffering of others? The universal healing balm for all kinds of suffering is compassion.

How can we develop and strengthen our capacity for healing compassion? Buddha Chenrezig is the embodiment of enlightened compassion. Chenrezig’s four arms represent the four immeasurables of loving kindness, compassion, joy and equanimity. Who better to have as our great compassion teacher?

Rinpoche will explain how four-armed-Chenrezig meditation serves as a foundation for developing the qualities needed in daily life. Come receive this cherished meditation practice including the Om Mani Peme Hum mantra as an empowerment or a blessing.

CHENREZIG EMPOWERMENT AND BLESSING

We will gather at 12:30 for the empowerment blessing ceremony with Rinpoche. Wear light-colored clothing. It is traditional to bring an offering for the lama giving the empowerment. Offering katas will be available for $3.

CHENREZIG COMPASSION MEDITATION PRACTICE

Following the empowerment ceremony we will have a short rest. Then, Lama Thekchen will facilitate a discussion as we watch a video of Rinpoche’s commentary on the Chenrezig meditation practice. She will also lead a guided Chenrezig meditation and mantra instruction.

DOMO GESHE RINPOCHE, a reincarnate Lama of the Geluk tradition of Tibetan Buddhism, teaches the "joyous path" with warmth and humor, in a 21st-century context. Rinpoche teaches timeless and universal spiritual truths that are not restricted by language and culture. She has taught countless people worldwide. The Green Wisdom Light daily meditation practice that Rinpoche teaches offers an authentic Buddhist path to true freedom.
