Let's go for a walk in the snow

Winter has arrived. Let's go for a hike in the snow. Let's meet at the Starbucks on Century at 8am. We'll drive up to one of the snow parks - maybe Swampy - and go for a hike on one of the trails. Bring your snowshoes.

Because it is early in the snow season we will just stick to one of the marked trails. Not sure how far we will go - all depends on the snow conditions. With luck, we will aim to get to the Swampy Lakes shelter for lunch.

The weather forecast is for 34 degrees and snow (in Bend) so it will likely be in the low to mid 20's at Swampy. Dress appropriately. Expect to be out for 4-5 hours.

Drivers need a snow pass and traction tires.
