This is a meetup for those that are newish to digital photography.

It is about learning to get off of Auto and learning how to shoot in Aperture or shutter priority. Why shooting in Raw format is more flexible. What problems exist in shooting digital and how your camera overcomes them.

We will then go out and do some shooting around Lake Gwelup and come back and talk about and work through post processing. We will look at free software from Google and then Adobe's Lightroom.

At the end of the day you will be able to use your camera in more situations and be thinking about the processing stage to give you what you want.

I am charging $50 for this as I am renting a hall and looking to provide coffee, tea, snacks etc. There will be around 6 hours of instruction and sharing of information.

It is tentatively set for Feb 25 depending on the hall rental.

If you want to attend but need assistance with transportation, let me know and we will get something worked out.

If you want to come but do not have a DSLR I am able to provide one to be shared between two participants.

If you are looking at buying a DSLR soon then you will learn some of their capabilities and the differences between the brands which may be of use.

Email me with any questions.

Best regards

Jim Embury
