Dear parents,We are glad to inform you that we are starting a series of orientation sessions for parents on education, nutrition and other important issues. Next Tuesday the session on education with a partial screening of the documentary: Race to Nowhere" is going to be moderated by Dr. Mihai Preda
Come to our sessions to learn more about:
- Learning strategies your children can use right away to make learning more efficient and enjoyable
- How to deal with school related stress (to much homework, FCATs tests, etc.)- How to prepare your children to be admitted to the best colleges
- Homeschooling and more.
Next orientation session is next Tuesday June 25th from 7:00 to 8:00 PM.

Mihai Preda, Ph. D., Scientist, Pianist and Educator
Dr. Mihai Preda, born in Romania, started his musical studies at an early age with his grandmother. His academic interests led him to study Physics, which he started in Romania, and continued in Germany and the U.S. where he earned a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Miami. He went on to pursue his formal music studies, which he finished with a double degree in Piano and Organ Performance from Florida International University in 2009.
Dr. Preda has been teaching for over 20 years, from elementary to university level. Among the topics he taught are Mathematics, Physics, Environmental Science, Music and Piano.
His unique background in science and music allows Dr. Preda to see the common elements of these two worlds. The innovative method of integrating piano and mathematics is a product of his studies, work and teaching experience. His approach to teaching piano is influenced by the Suzuki and Orff Methods and uses insights from cognitive psychology.
