The Wisdom of Love

What do Ghandi, John Lennon, Jesus Christ, and Bob Marley have in common? They all emphasize love as being the foundation of life. Are they talking intimate love or did romance somehow hijack the true nature of love? Everybody sings about it, talks about it, and writes about it - but what does love really mean and how can it help you live a better life and create a better world? This meetup is a philosophical exploration of the practical side of love - what does it mean to cultivate true love for yourself, other people, and our planet. Love isn't just a fuzzy concept that dating sites talk about. It's the fundamental motive force behind humanity. Every person wants to be loved and do what they love. Every great accomplishment is the product of people doing what they love. Each meetup is a guided discussion around a particular facet of love, be it compassion, service, forgiveness, kindness, following your heart, etc. We will explore how to apply ancient wisdom to modern human living. This group is open to all. Please join us.
