The sort of thinking we support includes:
Using evidence based reasoning for determining what to believe.
Forming beliefs after the evidence is collected.
Seeking evidence to both falsify and support a claim.
Seeking alternative explanations for a phenomenon.
Holding beliefs supported by the best available explanation.
Seeking extraordinary evidence for extraordinary claims.
Not relying on anecdotal evidence.
Using tightly controlled experiments to support claims.
Employing critical thinking and skepticism.

We officially start at 7pm. Some of us informally catch up for a bite to eat before hand in the dining area. Once the number of people gathered exceeds the space in the meals area, we head out the back to the beer-garden.
We will display an A5-A4 size sign with both the 'Think! Drink!' Read more
This group doesn't have any additional upcoming Meetups scheduled.
What members are saying
“ We are vastly out-numbered, so it's easy to feel that we are the freaks and weirdos, unless we communicate amongst our own ilk. ”
“ A great mixed group of people with lots of lively discussion. (And a few drinks) ”
