Behnaz F (http://www.behnazfarahi.com/)arahi (http://www.behnazfarahi.com/)
Behnaz is an architect and interaction designer, exploring the potential of interactive environments and their relationship to the human body. In particular she is interested in the implementation of emerging technologies in contemporary art/architecture practice.
Her project is Caress of the Gaze (http://www.behnazfarahi.com/204244/7618948/gallery/caress-of-the-gaze), an interactive 3D printed wearable, which can detect other people’s gaze and respond accordingly with life-like behaviour. What if our clothing could behave as an artificial skin capable of changing its shape and operating as an interface with the world defining social issues such as intimacy, gender and even personal identities?
William Victor Camilleri (http://www.interactivearchitecture.org/author/williamvictorcamilleri)
William is a Maltese artist trained as an architect whose work is mostly expressed through filmography, graphical imagery, photography, robotics, and physical computing. He is particularly self-motivated by the ecological study of interactions amongst organisms and their environment, life processes, developments of neo-biological systems and their implementation through design.
Harnessing the collective intelligence of plant behaviour, the reEarth (https://vimeo.com/163436492) project explores new forms of bio-cooperative interaction between people and nature, within the built environment. While plants lack a nervous system, they can, much like animals, become electro-chemically stimulated by their surrounding environment. Through the study of plant electro-physiology, we have wired their primitive ‘intelligence’ into the control-loop of an autonomous robotic ecosystem. Half garden, half machine – a new cybernetic lifeform we’ve named Hortum machina, B.

Georgios is CEO of Filisia interfaces (http://filisia-interfaces.com/), he studied Music Tech and Cultural Economics. He has worked in education, technology and management.
Filisia Interfaces supports the rehabilitation process of people with disabilities through fun, engaging technology.
He will be talking about Monoma (https://vimeo.com/156258164), a connected device that unleashes the creative potential of children with Special Education Needs. It uses music and games to train physical, communication and cognitive skills and machine learning to provide insights to their therapists. Filisia have co-developed Monoma with the input of 70+ therapists and with Birmingham and Goldsmiths Universities.

Ersin Han Ersin (http://www.ersinhanersin.co.uk/) is a visual artist, director who is focused on interaction between virtual spaces, light and body, including the tension between real and synthesised experiences. He has designed, directed and collaborated for the likes of New Movement Collective Nest, Imogen Heap-Me the Machine and Marshmallow Laser Feast- In the Eyes of The Animal. Ersin’s work has been exhibited around the world including Lisbon Triennial , Istanbul Design Biennale ,Sundance Film Festival, London, New York, and Shanghai. Whilst producing commissioned based art projects, Ersin also works as Director at technology driven art collective Marshmallow Laser Feast.
He will be speaking about In the Eyes of the Animal: (https://vimeo.com/140057053)
“Come and immerse yourself, tread carefully and step into the sensory world of the creatures. From the forest floor to the tops of the trees, come and observe through the eyes of the animal.”
This new commission enables audiences to encounter England’s forests anew through an immersive virtual reality experience, told by the inhabitants of the forest. A 360º film, it is an artistic interpretation of the sensory perspectives of three species natural to the site.
Marshmallow Laser Feast (https://vimeo.com/marshmallowlaserfeast)(MLF) is a creative studio that explores technology in order to make work, which reinterprets the idea of human perception. Their work has earned a reputation for creating the seemingly impossible— for producing installations that push boundaries, redefine expectations and excite audiences worldwide. Their work is responsive and spans kinetic sculpture, film, live performance and virtual reality. MLF’s approach is one of collaboration, working alongside technologists, engineers and makers to create bespoke software and hardware systems to realize their visions.
