March Timisoara Mobile Development Group Meetup

This March TiMo meetup will be a special one as we'll have a great opportunity to facilitate Timisoara's mobile aficionados' contact with cutting edge technology currently under development in their city's offices and labs that recently made titles in international tech media outlets like Techcrunch (http://www.techcrunch.com), CNET (http://cnet.com) or e-week (http://www.eweek.com).

Valentin Muresan (https://www.meetup.com/TiMoDev/members/13737588/) will talk about Timisoara-based contribution to Google Project Tango (https://www.google.com/atap/projecttango/) and will show to participants the prototype mobile device currently in the distribution phase towards 200 programmers worldwide for an initial apps development spree outside the Mountain View labs. Valentin and TiMo coordinator Radu Ticiu will also introduce an outstanding opportunity for developers to get a hands-on experience with the mobile 3D technologies from Project Tango within a hackathon to take place in Timisoara pretty soon, in the weekend of April 11th-13th.*

Virgil Tornoreanu (http://www.linkedin.com/pub/virgil-tornoreanu/57/b03/373) of Vox FileMaker (http://www.filemaker-solutions.ro/) and Geoffrey Xiao (http://www.linkedin.com/in/geoffreyxiao) of Hoyos Labs (http://www.hoyoslabs.com/) will showcase to the TiMo audience the HoyosID Project (http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-13970_7-57619362-78/hoyosid-uses-your-face-to-securely-sign-you-into-any-web-site-launches-in-march/) that featured a significant Timisoara contribution. Virgil and Geoffrey will explain how this project enhances our chances to advance towards a fully fledged and secured mobile device based and controlled access authentication process relying on biometric determinations.

In the end of the event, we'll host a discussion panel by 3-4 of the Timisoara participants to the recently held Mobile World Congress (http://www.mobileworldcongress.com/), trying to identify the most exciting mobile technology and business advances unveiled in Barcelona this year!
