Timisoara Mobile Development Group Meetup #15

March edition of Timisoara Mobile Development Group Meetup will include a diverse set of entries in it's program. The event's specific flavor connects to having two of the presentations strongly connected to London, the undisputed leading hub for tech and entrepreneurship in Europe.

The evening will start with a series of 3-5 shohttp://photos3.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/5/5/a/c/event_101421932.jpeg (http://slickflick.com/)rt pitches of the Windows Phone projects developed by the participants to the hackathon organized by Cosmin Tiru (https://www.meetup.com/TiMoDev/members/21756041/) and his Microsoft Student Partner (http://studentclub.ro/upt/) colleagues in a project supported by Timisoara Software Business Incubator and TiMo, aiming to expose local universities' students to MS mobile development technologies. Hackathon participants were invited to focus in their individual projects on pro-bono and/or public benefit apps. The team reunited in this period in our city for a one week face-to-face working session and for meeting the TiMo community.

In the good tradition of the last couple of TiMo Meetup editions, we'll host a new Skype-based discussion. This month's remote intervention will address topics related on career strategies and tactics for accumulating, polishing and obtaining value from mobile app development skills and knowledge. Our special guest for this event's component will be Paul Ardeleanu (http://www.linkedin.com/in/paulardeleanu), one of the best iOS apps design and development trainers in London, a frequent speaker, mentor and consultant at various tech and entrepreneurship conferences in UK. Besides running his own mobile development company, called Hello24, Paul delivers various iOS trainings with Skills Matter (http://www.linkedin.com/in/paulardeleanu) and we hope we'll be able to have him training in Timisoara at some point later this year. The evening will conclude with a panel discussion on Mobile World Congress 2012 (http://www.mobileworldcongress.com/index.html) (Barcelona, Feb 27th-Mar 1st). We would like to see how this is perceived as a transformative experience, how business and technical co-operation can be sought and found in such a diverse crowd and which were the most astonishing gadgets and apps launched there.
