There will be a third presentation at TiMo #17. IQube, an awesome students team from Timisoara "Politehnica" University, that already won the nationalhttp://photos4.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/c/e/7/4/event_120052852.jpeg finals of Imagine Cup (http://www.chip.ro/stiri/18779-iqube-castiga-finala-regionala-la-software-design-si-reprezinta-romania-la-sydney), securing their tickets for the global finals in Australia, this July, will present their extremely smart educational system, based on usage of mobile devices and featuring an app store for teachers. Of course, they will look for your feedback and suggestions.
The May edition of TiMo meetups includes in the agenda, at least at this time, a number of two presentations (additional ones to be firmly announced in 2-3 days):
Firstly, Andrei Rusan (https://www.meetup.com/TiMoDev/members/13742089/), researcher at Alcatel-Lucent in Timisoara, comes back after his presentation in the inaugural event of the group, way back in January 2011. This time, Andrehttp://photos2.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/c/a/7/8/event_119571832.jpegi will address the audience with regards to his latest innovation, Network Entity, System, Method and Computer Program for Streaming Data, currently undergoing the patenting process at the European Patent Office.
Andrei's brainchild is promising a much better video experience by dynamic controlling the quality of service on any mobile devices connected over 4G, an asset to be explored in the future apps of the mobile developers.
The second presentation will bring in the spotlights Alex Bleau (https://www.meetup.com/TiMoDev/members/10682083/) and, hopefully, via Skype, his associate, Tudor Munteanu (http://www.linkedin.com/in/tudorm), also one of the presenters at the first edition of TiMo.
Alex, (a highly knowledgeable expert in the mobile field - founder and administrator of several communities of Romanian mobile apps developers and an active recruiter, also passionate about game development) and Tudor (one of the first Timisoara devehttp://photos1.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/c/f/4/6/event_119573062.jpeglopers active in the mobile programming) recently launched an iOS game, Clumsy and the Stars. We'll hear about the rather long but very minutely conducted game development process, about what makes the game a special one (lots of game physics in different approache) and about the first sales figures following the launch.
