What type of games do you enjoy?

Well, I used to be a real computer game addict, but now I focus mostly on board and card games. I enjoy both strategy games and party games equally. Currently, my favorites are Lords of Waterdeep, Discworld, Settlers of Catan, Talisman, What's Yours Like, and Telestrations. Or I can easily fall into the classics like Monopoly, Uno, or Risk. I actually don't know many games, but I am very eager to be introduced to more.

There is a tendency in meet up to sign up for many groups and attend none. Have you attended any meet up groups? (This question is only to gage the probability of attendance, not to exclude).

Though I just started membership at this past August/September, I have attended quite a few meetups.

How many times a month would you enjoy playing games. 1 or 2?

At least 1 or 2. Maybe even more. I think this will all depend on the personality dynamics of the group.

Would you prefer a weekend evening or week day evening or one of both?

Either is fine.

We hold this meet up in our home therefore, is your profile picture a photograph that clearly shows your face? If not email a photograhp of yourself to the group organizer by clicking the "contact" link under Trisha's picture on the left.

Yes, currently my photo is my own facial portrait.

Hello! I am a Northern Virginia native and mainly work from home. So I really look forward to getting out and connecting with people.

What Rachel is saying about this Meetup Group

I found this particular gaming meetup to be one of the best out there. Easy to get to, plenty of close parking, spacious accommodations, ample gaming tables and seating areas, a donated variety of refreshments and snacks, a large crowd of open and friendly people, and very patient instructors to those who are new to boardgaming. Most of all, the hosts, Trisha and Christopher, were the best. Surely whoever coined the term "southern hospitality" must have been thinking of them.
