Va invitam la primul meetup dedicat programarii functionale in Timisoara.
Ii vom avea invitati pe Alexandru Nedelcu din Bucuresti care ne va vorbi despre Scala si Ovidiu Deac din Cluj care va tine o prezentare despre F#.
Daca nu vom depasi 40 de persoane, meetup-ul se va tine la Timisoara Startup Hub, altfel vom gasi o alta sala pe care o vom anunta ulterior.

Building Higher-level Abstractions with Scala
Abstract: Managing complexity is what makes or breaks software systems. Scala is a language that provides the proper tools to build resilient and responsive systems that can be evolved. In this presentation we'll discuss why Scala is a better OOP language than Java, what functional programming is and how it can solve day to day issues and we'll touch on immutability, higher-order functions, type-classes and monads.

Tackling Code Complexity. With F# Examples
Abstract: Imperative programming produces way too much complexity. Our code should and could be simpler. This presentation is about how a declarative approach with functional programming can improve our lives by reducing this complexity. The examples will be written in F# but the ideas behind are applicable to other modern languages.
