Want to get a taste of Tinkergarten and enjoy learning outside with your child? Want to learn about how to bring Tinkergarten to your UWS community? Come join us in Central Park and discover new and adventurous ways to learn and play during winter— the chilliest and most magical season!

Tinkergarten provides authentic, early childhood learning experiences for parents and kids— all outdoors. Many families from the UWS have already joined Tinkergarten to play and learn in classes right in Central Park, and Tinkergarten will be bringing even more to the community this spring. Bring your little ones and enjoy a sampling of Tinkergarten activities, all designed for fun and learning for kids ages 18 months to 5 years old.

Check out the DIY activities on tinkergarten.com (http://www.tinkergarten.com) to get a sense of the kind of adventures we might get up to on Thursday, from going on a bear hunt (http://tinkergarten.com/going-bear-hunt/), to creating with magic forest putty (http://tinkergarten.com/forest-putty/). What we’ll do will depend a bit on the weather and the turn-out, but whatever happens, the experience is bound to be special, and guaranteed to be FUN and educational.

We welcome all parents looking to bring their kids on an outdoor adventure! We’re also very interested in meeting parents who are curious about bringing Tinkergarten to more UWS families, by becoming Tinkergarten leaders (http://www.tinkergarten.com/leader/). You’ll be able to talk to the team about any questions you have about leadership and the application process.

We’ll meet at West 72nd Street entrance at 10am. Just down the hill is a lovely open space for our activities, and benches for those who want to take a break and warm up with coffee, kid-friendly blueberry tea and homemade ginger snaps!

Our mission is to get as many kids learning and playing outside as we can, whatever the weather. So please share this fun meet up with your friends -- the more, the merrier! We can’t wait to meet, play and learn outside with you this Thursday!

PLEASE NOTE: Please make sure to dress your kids warmly (read some tips on how! (http://tinkergarten.com/winter-weather/)) Though we advocate having kids out in most kinds of weather, safety is our number one concern. We’ll keep a close eye on the forecast and, if we need to reschedule, we’ll send a message via Meetup at least 1.5 hours before the event is scheduled to start.
