Special Screening of “US Now” w/ talk of Anthony Williams "Wikinomics" co-author

As the 4th NetTuesday Tokyo with generous co-hosting partner, Nikkei Digital Ccore, we are pleased to have a special guest speaker, Anthony Williams, known as a co-author of "Wikinomics- How Mass Collaboration Changes Everything"(2006). We are also pleased to offer a special screening of "US Now", a premeir UK documentary about how Web 2.0 inspires people to participate in their communities in new ways.It speaks well to non-techies and all generation; a perfect fit for our NetTuesday audience.

The film is a great conversation starter for people to take back and discuss Web 2.0 opportunities in their communities. Featured speakers include Don Tapscott-co-author of Wikinomics, Clay Shirky - author of "Here Comes Everyboday" among others. *The film is Japanese subtitled, and we are going to see the first 30 min. out of 59 min. After the screening, Anthony will give a keynote presentation on the role of technology in community engagement, and open the conversation up to the attendees while moderated by Nikkei Newspaper senior & editorial writer, Waichi Sekiguchi

    -Fortunate to have Anthony Williasm as a speaker as well as a great documentary film of US Now. -Lively atmosphere among audience, many tweeted with #net2tokyo while showing them on the screen during Q&A session -about 120 of cutting-edge audience, very sharp question, wish we had more time for Q&A :-) -Great support from co-hosting partner, Nikkei Digital Core with generous support for the venue and preparation.
