Description

Were you not able to make it to WWDC? Well, this is pretty much the next best thing. Join us at our first Tokyo iOS Meetup Hackathon as we explore what is new in iOS. Don't be afraid if you are not an expert, we will make sure everyone has a great time!

The goal will be to make a cool proof of concept using some of the new features/technologies from WWDC. Work in teams or by yourself to win the fabulous prize at the end of the day.

The Plan

• 10:00 - 11:00, Discussion about WWDC

• 11:00 - 12:00, Start exploring your hackathon goal.

• 12:00 - 12:15, Share your project with everyone. Make teams.

• 12:15 - 17:00, Develop a proof of concept with a team or by yourself

• 17:00 - 18:00, Presentation of projects, voting and prize

• 19:00 and onward, (Optional) Dinner

Cost

• 10:00 to 11:00 discussion: Free

• 11:00 to 18:30 hackathon (including food and drinks): ¥1,500

• 19:00 dinner (approx): ¥3,500

• Watch some WWDC videos

• Download and install the new Xcode (Get the download links here: http://mjtsai.com/blog/2015/06/09/wwdc-2015-links/ )

• Your own computer

• Power cord

• Money

Teams

You can organise yourselves beforehand or wait until the day where there will be opportunities to make teams. We will limit the size of a team to three people. You can work by yourself if you prefer.

An Alternative
