Our First Meetup to Discuss Evolution Fundamentals & Discuss Future Topics
Details
So let's have our first meetup on Saturday, April 30th at Delores Cafe in Santa Monica just off of 405 at Santa Monica Blvd. There's good food and a dining room in back that we should probably have mostly to ourselves.
Here's what I propose the agenda to be:
15 minutes - The main topic will be to Review the Fundamentals of Evolution from Darwin to DNA. Among the references in the presentation will be Darwin's works On The Origin of Species, The Descent of Man, and the Expression of the Emotions in Man and Animals; Mendel's contribution to inheritance; plus some references to work by T.H. Huxley, etc.
45 minutes - Discussion on the Main Topic
30 minutes - Discussing future topics.
I'm looking forward to meeting all of you and finally getting to discuss these ideas in evolution with others looking to do the same.
