Torc Dubh is a dedicated group of volunteers from all over southern California, dedicated to bringing history to life. A federal not-for profit corporation under 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, Torc Dubh teaches history though the historical re-enactment of Scots and Irish serving on the continent during the sixteenth century. No matter the conditions, Torc Dubh is always willing to do what they can to bring history to life for those that will give us the opportunity through demonstrations varying from military drill of pikes, swords and matchlocks to the production of various textiles.

The Torc Dubh Meetup Group is currently organized by a member of Torc Dubh, with the sole purpose of facilitating social communication and gatherings of Torc Dubh members, people interested in becoming members, people who would like to share their knowledge with our members, and people who would like to learn something from the group. If at any time the board decides that Meetup activity is detrimental to Torc Dubh as a whole it will be immediately ceased.
