Description: In the presentation Giuseppe will offer a brief introduction of Forex and why it exist. Trading Forex can be a 24/5 job, but it depends also on which timeframe you follow. How Forex is different from other marekts. The main principles and rules of trading will be introduced.
Trading is a game you win playing defence, which includes correct capitalization, looking for low risk ideas and try to obtain risk-free trades. A key part of trading is having and strictly following a trading plan. The main parts of a trading plan will be introduced.
Trading is governed by the 3 Ms: Method, Money and Mind, i.e. Trading Method, Risk/Money Management & Psychology.
There are as many methods of trading as there are traders, but each method falls under one of the main trading concepts that we are going to briefly mention (e.g. band trading, trend following, price action, Program Trading footprints, there-is-order-to-universe, mental strategy trading, arbitrage, etc.).
A view on today's markets is also offered mentioning Algo-trading, Program Trading, HFT
Finally, the market laws and principles of "Trading in the Zone" are reminded to participants.
Giuseppe will also present a quick 5-mins analysis of the EURUSD, because it is the second meeting and we still did not present a single chart! :)
Who is Giuseppe Basile?
A Certified Technical Analyst and swing trader and IFTA associate (International Federation of Technical Analysts). Bachelors in Computer Science Engineering and 10 years working for a leading North American IT consulting company travelling in several European countries. Interested in the markets since 2001, became trader and mentor in 2007 studying with several traders in UK, Europe and US. In Ireland, from 2006 to 2010, he has earned a Masters in Finance and enrolled into the CFA program. Collected over 6,000 hours of screen time since 2009 and in 2012 launched FibStalker (www.fibstalker.com), a blog specializing in forex, futures and stocks trading, where he publishes articles and a free newsletter with trading lessons, actual trade setups and complete trading plans. Published articles and research papers about money management, automated trading, HFT and innovative trading methods. Giuseppe’s work and contribution to TA seeks an edge studying the effects of program trading on price. Presented several events live and on-line, and guest speaker at the IT Forum (www.itforum.it), the largest event of investment and trading in Italy. Now based in Toronto, Canada he keeps mentoring traders, writing eBooks, articles and other trading material and research papers, while studying new trading ideas and money/risk management techniques.
