Apache NiFi presentation by Joe Witt

Abstract: This talk will introduce the participants to Apache NiFi, it’s background, purpose, and design. It will highlight NiFi’s Flow Based Programming roots and how it aligns with the concepts and power provided by FBP. Apache NiFi is a project which aims to make the task of enterprise wide data flow management easier and frankly just a lot more fun than it has ever been. There will be a NiFi demo and hopefully great interactive discussion.

Bio: Joe Witt is a member of the Apache Software Foundation, the Apache NiFi PMC, and is the Director of Engineering leading up development of Hortonworks Dataflow powered by Apache NiFi.
