Linked Data Management
Hosted by Toronto Semantic Web Group
Details
Most database systems are ill-equiped to provide the flexibility and collaboration for managing structured data on the Web today. While Wikis and Content Management Systems (CMS) have simplified the collaboration of unstructured text, a solution for structured data still seems out of grasp. Linked Data is a new standard to publish and consume data on the World Wide Web, and Linked Data Management Systems promise to do for data what CMS did for text.
Callimachus is an Open Source collaborative Linked Data management tool for structured data. Using HTML5 RDFa templates, you will be shown how to build complex, data-driven applications in a browser using the Callimachus Web framework.
The Callimachus platform's architecture, syntax and usage will be presented with a focus on the use of RDFa to define your data model. By the end of the session, experienced Web authors will be ready to create their own Linked Data Web applications.
The Callimachus is available at http://callimachuspro... (http://callimachusproject.org).
