INTRO TO DOCUMENTARY FILMMAKING

Storytelling is at the heart of any good documentary. It’s not enough to simply document a particular subject. Like any good narrative film you need engaging characters, interesting locations, and above all a compelling story.

This 1-day workshop will explore the fundamentals of documentary filmmaking with a focus on the importance of storytelling.

I have always been a big believer in learning by doing. This will be a hands-on workshop. Equipment, including cameras, lights, audio gear, sliders, etc will be on site for hands-on learning and demonstration.

Registration is limited to 20 to ensure lots of opportunity for attendees to participate.
