Danforth East Pop-Up Shop Bike Crawl
Hosted by Toronto Bike Meetup
Details
A casual bike ride to East Danforth to explore the pop-up shops that are helping to revitalize this east end neighbourhood.
Since October 2012, the Danforth East Community Association (DECA), has hosted 18 pop-up shops in an effort to revitalize the main commercial strip of the neighbourhood from Monarch Park Avenue to Main Street. From real estate agents, to community members, to landlords – the community has come out in droves to support this innovative initiative.

With the latest pop-ups happening in June I thought a ride-in would be a fun way to visit the shops.
We will begin at the parkette across the street from Castlefrank Subway station proceed east on Bloor, head north on Broadview and take the Cosburn bikelanes east to Coxwell, heading south to arrive at the first shop at 1517 Danforth Avenue.
There are 5 shops to visit 4 clothing shops and one bakery. The shops are:
Krystle Lee - 1517 Danforth Avenue www.krystle.ca
In the Closet - 1765 Danforth Avenue
E-Closet - 1801 Danforth Avenue ecloset.ca
Cheap Thrills - 1811 Danforth Avenue
Yummy Stuff - 1938 Danforth Avenue yummystuff.ca
For those interested at 1pm there is a community ride with 32 Spokes if you need to get more cycling in that day and want to learn about the east end neighbourhood. Meet at Woodbine Park at Queen and Eastern, just a short ride down the hill from where we will end our crawl. http://bikemonth2013.ca/events/42?location=toronto
