Tour Peru with Gabriel Alegria's Afro Peruvian Sextext!

What better way to explore a different country and intimately understand a culture than by traveling with Gabriel Alegria’s Afro-Peruvian Sextet and letting them show you everything that Peru has to offer. This is an once-in-a-lifetime tour of Perú including entertainment, spectacular scenery, music and the best cuisine in the New World.

The Sextet consists of Gabriel Alegria, Laura Andrea Leguia, Yuri Juarez, Hugo Alcazar, Freddie “Huevito” Lobaton. Together they create wonderful music that is truly unique and exceptional. Traveling with them, you will learn their favorite places and have them share the knowledge they have on to you.

Tour Peru happens in conjunction with Gabriel’s concerts amidst the joy and laughter of Afro-Peruvian music. The benefit of joining this meetup is that you can now see the band perform and meet them too! We have events scheduled for each of their local performances. Members will meet up and sit together to watch the performance. We'll then all meet up with the band and enjoy a meal or drinks or (my personal favorite) BOTH! I know that once you hear them play, you won't help but fall in love with their music.

Gabriel and his band are not only amazing musicians but extraordinary people. Last year they even raised enough money to inspire the children in Chincha, Peru. They had lost so much from the earthquake in August 2007 so by giving them musical instruments to carry on their cultural heritage, it provided much needed happiness and inspiration. You will see the children playing the Cajon, a traditional Peruvian instrument. My favorite part is the girls rocking out on theirs. The cajon is NOT for just the boys!
