On August 15th, we launched Towne Lake Area Moms Group.  Be part of this brand new group forming for moms and their babies (newborns to toddlers) who reside in the Towne Lake area.   It means playtime for them and conversation for us.

A Sampling of Our Activities:

LOCAL: Local parks, Indoor Playgrounds, Storytimes, Puppet Shows, Berry Picking, Pool Parties, Arts & Craft Projects, Playdates at each other’s Homes, Nature Walks, Music Classes, and Stroller Riding together.  We can also tour the fire station (and other unique activities that can only be done as a group), watch live theater at Elmstreet Arts Center (even newborns can attend certain shows), picnics and afternoon concerts at the City Park, the Beach at Allatoona Lake, and more! 

INTOWN: We'll mostly stay local, but occasionally go intown to the two-acre Children's Area at the Botanical Gardens, GA Aquarium, Toddler Thursdays at the High Museum, Fernbank's new Naturequest for children, Imagine It Museum, Zoo Atlanta, charity projects, and more!

MNOs: We can have Mom's Night Outs (i.e. Wine & Cheese, Pottery Painting, Dessert Socials, Book Clubs, Afternoon Teas, and Spa Nights).  We can also have info sessions to learn new skills like Child/Infant CPR.  Breastfed babies are always welcome at Mom's Night Outs.

Towne Lake Area Mom Members will occasionally receive special admission rates to places and group discounts on products and services. We sometimes get early bird access into Consignment Sales, have Swap Meets for baby clothing and children's books.  We're all about FUN and there will be no Mama Drama!

Never feel obligated to do everything!  The beauty of meetups is, you can check the calendar and simply pick and choose what you what to attend.  If you have an event idea, just let me know and I will post it.  The $5 annual dues for 2012 covers the subscription fee that we pay meetup.com.

Although we are a "moms" group, dads and grandparents are always encouraged to participate.
