Eschew sloth on Superbowl Sunday; come walk amongst the critters and the ages.

Details
Stagville was part of (and for a while headquarters for) the Cameron-Bennihan complex of plantations, the largest slave operation east of the Mississippi. The plantation sat on a bluff overlooking the first Flat River crossing not requiring a serious climb down into and up out of the river valley. There are 18th and 19th century memoirs of crossing the Flat at this point, it was that exciting.
Depending on many factors, we will either play along the Flat River in a great birding spot, or we'll go up on the bluff and poke around some other very interesting sites.
We'll update and finalize this event as the date approaches and we find out from Stagville's stewards how much liberty we may have.
As usual, kids hike for free. And this is a leashed dog-friendly location.
Hope to see you therer.
