Join me for a treasure hunt on an easy hike from the Gateway trailhead of the McDowells. Geo Caching is a worldwide 'treasure hunt' provided via satelite and cell phone apps. All you need to do is show up for this unique experience; no equipment necessary to participate.
Our route will take us directly into the preserve where we will travel parallel to the Levee trail. Our goal will be to reach a geo cache by the Paradise trail and head back along a short portion of the Gateway Loop. This trek will give you beautiful views of the preserve while staying on easy and generally flat parts of the trails. You're encouraged to bring snacks, a camera, and must bring at least 2 liters of water per person and sturdy hiking footwear.
