We are going to meet at the Breckenridge Brewery on KALAMATH. Not the one by the Ball Park. This one is about 3 blocks away from the Santa Fe Art District. ** We are in the backroom, which I have reserved. You will need to get your beers at the bar however, as they do not have staff for the backroom on First Friday. **
Breck has BBQ and a few other items on the menu. Most importantly, unless they have changed it, their happy hour is $3 pints from 4-6! Vanilla Porter = mmmmmmm!!!! This will be the first half our Mission - Ales!
We will leave around 7pm and walk a few blocks to near 8th and Santa Fe for the Art Walk;
Pray for cold weather, yes cold, as that means it will be less crowded and easier to get around. We will walk several blocks (Trails), see art, we will mingle and some places sell alcohol and/or food. You know, just in case you didn't get your fill at Breck :)>
The event OFFICIALLY ends at 9pm and I will be walking back to my car at the Breck Brewery at that time. So if you need an escort (keep in mind I haven't had to practice my Ninja skills in about 20 years), I will get you to your car! Last time Breck was closed, so we couldn't continue partying there.
You may choose to extend your debauchery/fun/etc. beyond 9pm, but my duties as host are officially done. I may or may not go out for a second dinner afterwards and you may or may not choose to join me. I will be driving from the Breck Brewery, so I can offer you a ride to the next destination if you need one. Unless your name is Orson, that is ;)
If you are looking for food, some nearby places are Pints Pub, Stranahan's (Rackhouse Pub is their restaurant) and El Noa Noa. Noa Noa will not do separate checks, so I will not be going there, however. Renegade Brewery is at the north end of the walk and they do serve excellent beer. The problem is that they don't have food nor typically any space to sit at 9pm. I would thus steer you towards Pints or Stranahan's.
